Homecoming: students found their people.

Students from Drake State, UAH, and beyond came to Homecoming. A couple of Drake State administrators joined them. Around Apollo Coalition, people traded introductions, talked about what they were working on, and got to know someone outside their usual circle.

That has been part of DevHouse's purpose from the beginning: give students a place in Huntsville's builder community while they're still figuring out what comes next. A student can show unfinished work, ask a question, and meet someone who builds, works, or starts a business here. A conversation in the room can turn into a relationship that lasts past the semester, and into a reason to picture a working life in Huntsville.

Many UAH students were in the room, along with other students. The invitation had been simple: come back, and bring somebody with you.

Thank you to Joshua Price and the UAH Entrepreneurship Club. They were at Homecoming, and they have supported DevHouse since the beginning.

Joshua Schofield — Josh2.0 — spent part of Thursday talking about the Ironman he would race that Sunday. He finished it. Read his story →

You can't have a Homecoming until you have somewhere to come back to.
