What we planned for night one, how the format ran on paper, and where partners were invited to plug in.

Why this exists

What DevHouse is for

A place to share work in progress in Huntsville.

DevHouse HSV is a Huntsville-first builder room where founders, students, developers, artists, hardware people, musicians, designers, and curious people bring real work into the room. Projects on the floor, honest feedback, useful collisions—momentum that stays local.

First Room

First meetup format

Thursday, June 18, 2026 · 7:00–9:00 PM · Apollo Coalition · MidCity District · Huntsville, AL

  1. 7:00–7:15 PM · Arrival / settle

    Drinks, say hi, find a station. Short welcome. Builders first.

  2. 7:15–8:35 PM · Room open

    Stations live. Projects on the floor. The room stays in motion. Optional 5-minute group pulls when something needs more eyes.

  3. 8:35–9:00 PM · Land + close

    What worked? What changes? Easy hang, quick signals, next-room energy.

    Room #2

    Fill the room. Community-first spotlights. Meaningful outreach through join → RSVP. Execute the passport and ritual — no new systems.

  5. August 2026

    Recap + proof

    Publish the Room #2 artifact. Measure return rate, introductions, and momentum — not just headcount.

  6. September 2026

    Codify the ritual

    What always worked? What stays human? What earns software? Build around behaviors observed in the room.
