Dev House(HSV)

Plan

Start small. Run the first room. Do it again.

What we’re doing, how night one runs, and where partners plug in—no deck, just intent.

Why this exists

What DevHouse is for

Huntsville-first builder room. Honest WIP.

Start small. Run the first room. Do it again. DevHouse HSV is a Huntsville builder room—demos and real feedback, not pitch theater.

First gathering

First meetup format

June 18, 2026 · 7:00–9:00 PM · 2 hours. First run, ~10–20 people. Run-of-show below.

  1. 7:00–7:15 PM · Arrival / settle

Drink, say hi. Short welcome—builders first. No ceremony.

  2. 7:15–7:45 PM · Demos (2–3 people)

~8–10 min each: what it is, what’s hard, what feedback you need. Screen optional.

  3. 7:45–8:35 PM · Open build

Heads-down, pairs, questions. Host connects people.

  4. 8:35–9:00 PM · Feedback + close

What worked? What changes? Easy hang; gauge next run.

What we’re asking for

Building in public—short asks.

  • Honest read on whether this room should exist.
  • Venue ideas that feel low-friction and welcoming.
  • Timing signals: what would make you actually show up.

Roadmap

Five beats—not a forecast, a sequence.

  1. Step 1

    Gather builders

Discord live. First invites. Vibe: helpful, low ego.

  2. Step 2

    Run the first room

Demos, build block, honest close. Prove the format.

  3. Step 3

    Adjust and repeat

Cut what drags. Keep what people reuse.

  4. Step 4

    Open the circle carefully

Spaces, labs, orgs that care about builders—not billboards.

  5. Step 5

    Build a cadence

Regular nights. Same ethos, steadier rhythm.
